Job Description

Primary Functions:

COMPLETE THE THE ASSEMBLY OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT WITHIN THE ASSIGNED DEPARTMENT, I.E. ENGINE, FRAME, CAB, FINAL AND BUS DEPARTMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURING OF TERMINAL TRACTORS AND SPECIALTY VEHICLES.

 


Duties and 
Responsibilities:

ASSEMBLE OR ASSIST IN THE ASSEMBLY OF EACH COMPONENT PER ASSIGNED DEPARTMENT.

MEET ALL PRODUCTION GOALS ON A DAILY BASIS PER ASSIGNED DEPARTMENTS.

MEET MINIMUM STANDARDS OF SAFETY PER ASSIGNED DEPARTMENT.

MEET ALL Q.A. AND Q.C. STANDARDS FOR EACH ASSEMBLY PER ASSIGNED DEPARTMENT.

ASSIST IN TRAINING ENTRY LEVEL AND “B” LEVEL EMPLOYEES PER ASSIGNED DEPARTMENT.

MEET MINIMUM STANDARDS OF HOUSEKEEPING PER ASSIGNED DEPARTMENT.

BE COMPLIANT WITH ALL THE RULES OF CONDUCT AND ATTENDANCE PER THE COMPANY HANDBOOK.

 


Qualifications:

MUST EXCEED THE QUALIFICATIONS OF ENTRY LEVEL AND “B” LEVEL ASSEMBLERS.

MUST MAINTAIN A POSITIVE RATING AS DESCRIBED IN THE TRAINING/QUALIFICATION EVALUATION RECORD AS “A” ASSEMBLER.

ABILITY TO READ AND COMPREHEND SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS, SHORT CORRESPONDENCE AND MEMOS. ABILITY TO WRITE SIMPLE CORRESPONDENCE. ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY PRESENT INFORMATION IN ONE-ON-ONE AND SMALL GROUP SITUATIONS TO OTHER EMPLOYEES OF THE ORGANIZATION. ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE VERBALLY. ABILITY TO READ AND WRITE ENGLISH.

HAND-EYE COORDINATION.

THE EMPLOYEE MUST REGULARLY LIFT AND/OR MOVE UP TO 50 POUNDS. SPECIFIC VISION ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THIS JOB INCLUDE CLOSE VISION, PERIPHERAL VISION AND DEPTH PERCEPTION.

THE NOISE LEVEL IN THE WORK ENVIRONMENT IS USUALLY LOUD.
